Computing
Computer Science and ICT digital skills are valued highly at St Mark's. We are a school that looks to the future, actively embracing E-learning, embedding it into and across the curriculum.
All pupils have access to an individual PC in Computing lessons. Curriculum time for Computing is as follows:
Year 7 to 9, pupils receive 1 period a week
In years 10 and 11, pupils can choose GCSE Computer Science as an optional subject, thus receiving 3 periods a week.
In years 12 and 13, pupils can choose to study for A-Level Computer Science.
The department has two specialist Computing teachers with specific responsibility for teaching across all the age groups.
